Announces
Three-Day Workshop
on
"BIOINFORMATICS: SEQUENCE ANALYSIS"
23 - 25 September, 2009
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Bioinformatics has initiated a new revolution in life science research by providing computational solutions to biological problems. Availability of huge amount of biological data has tremendously enhanced the speed of biological research and dramatically reduced the cost of research. The Inherent traits of an organism are hidden and assembled in the form of a genome. Analyzing this hidden information is a challenge in front of researcher. Bioinformatics has paved the way for analyzing and unveiling this hidden information available in the form of nucleotide and protein sequences. The underlying theme of this workshop is to provide an insight onto the current methods and strategies that are being used to analyze biological information through guided practical training.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The participants of the course may be students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel with background in Life Sciences and/or Information Technology.
TEACHING FACULTY
Besides BISR faculty, eminent guest speakers from renowned Bioinformatics Centres of India will deliver lectures and conduct demonstration on various aspects on Bioinformatics.
