"Bioprocess Technology"

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Microorganisms are biological factories producing a number of different compounds of commercial importance. These include enzymes, proteins, unsaturated fatty acids, biopolymers and secondary metabolites etc. A number of microbial products so far have been commercialized. This module includes some lectures and exhaustive laboratory exposure on different aspects of microbial physiology, biochemistry and bioreactor design. The course is designed in such a way that both undergraduate and post graduate students of different areas of Life Sciences can be benefited.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The participants of the course may be students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel with background in Biotechnology and Biosciences.
TEACHING FACULTY
Besides BISR faculty, eminent guest speakers from renowned Institutes will deliver lectures and conduct demonstration/ experiments.
HOW TO APPLY
Interested candidates may apply by sending filled application form along with the DD of Rs 2000/- latest by September 10, 2009 to the Convener. The confirmation of registration will be informed through emails only. List of selected participants will be displayed on the website.

REGISTRATION FEES
Fee: Rs 2000/-
The fee includes course documentation as well as mid-session refreshments and lunch.
ON-SPOT REGISTRATION
On-spot registration will available only in condition of availability of seat with late fees and prior information.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation will be provided on written request to the convener and the participant will bear the cost of accommodation.
